Nintendo ...Cereal System? What?

If you establish a name brand, you can sell anything. An excellent example is the Nintendo Cereal System, «released» in 1988. It' s nothing more that breakfast cereal shaped like Super Mario and Zelda characters.

Let's see what Wikipedia says:

Nintendo Cereal System

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Nintendo Cereal System is a breakfast cereal, which was produced by Ralston Cereals in 1988. The name of the cereal is based on the Nintendo Entertainment System, and represents two of the most popular games for the NES at the time: Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda. Over the years, the cereal has sold as memorabilia for collectors on online auction sites, at a price exceeding $100 per box.[1][2]

Appearance[edit]

The cereal box has two vertical bags inside, each containing a different cereal. One side, called Super Mario Bros. Action Series, consists of fruity-flavored Marios, Super Mushrooms, GoombasKoopa Troopas, and Bowsers. The other side, called Zelda Adventure Series, consists of berry-flavored Links, hearts, boomerangskeys, andshields.[2] Inside the box is a sticker of a Nintendo character, and on the back panel is a set of twelve trading cards called Nintendo "Power Cards". It also presents now defunct offers to win NES Power Pads or a Super Mario cereal bowl.
